Guidance & Counselling

Guidance and Counselling programs organized at Kendriya Vidyalaya SSB Srinagar during the year 2023-24. The aim of the Vidyalaya is to help students to achieve their educational and professional goals. To achieve this goal, Vidyalaya organizes a variety of programmes, including career counselling workshops, inspirational talks, and skill development sessions.

Details of programs:

1. Dated 14.10.2023: Career Counseling Workshop by Uttarakhand University. 64 students participated in this workshop. The workshop provided information about various career options, entrance exams and opportunities for higher education.
2. Dated 22.11.2023: Workshop on instruction and career counselling by Graphic Era Hill University. 96 students participated in this workshop. The workshop provided information about study skills, time management and exam preparation.
3. Dated 22.12.2023: Environmental awareness and drug de-addiction program by Brahma Kumaris. 446 students participated in this program. In the program, information was given about the importance of environmental protection and the harmful effects of addiction.
4. Dated 28.12.2023: Workshop on instruction and career counselling (Medical & Engineering) by Aakash Institute. 27 students participated in this workshop. In the workshop, information was given about preparation for medical and engineering entrance examinations.
5. Dated 18.01.2024: Workshop on instruction and career counselling (Medical & Engineering) by Merchant Navy Academy. 96 students participated in this workshop. In the workshop, information was given about the opportunities for making a career in the Merchant Navy.

Evaluation of Programs: All the programs received positive responses from students and teachers. Students found the programs informative and motivating, and said they would help them achieve their educational and professional goals. Teachers also praised the programs and said they were helpful in preparing students for their future.

The guidance and counselling programs organised at Kendriya Vidyalaya SSB Srinagar have been extremely beneficial for the students. These programs provide students with information about their educational and professional goals and help them develop the skills needed to achieve these goals. The school will continue to organize similar programs in future also.
