Kendriya Vidyalaya is continuously striving for the development of all-round personality of the future citizens. Today, education is not limited to a narrow scope but embraces a combination of depth of knowledge, culture of character and personality. KVS has taken pioneering initiatives in providing unlimited opportunities for students to prove their capabilities and excellence in various fields. It is a platform providing education with scholastic and co-curricular activities in a secular environment with the core objective of educational psychology. Competitions are organized at various levels to promote national unity. Teachers also have a decisive role in the field of education. In KVS It has a team of highly trained principals and teachers who are fully dedicated to their duties and responsibilities towards the society and nation and who are selected on the basis of merit all over India. Apart from having excellent knowledge of their subject, they are well updated with the latest technology of learning and developments in the field of education. They are provided ample opportunities for learning through subject committee meetings and staff meetings at the school level, orientation and refresher courses and workshops and seminars organized at regional and all India level. Under the Right to Education Act, every year 25% admission in the first class is given to children from economically and socially weaker section of the society, and no fee is charged from such children till the eighth class. I am grateful to the Principals, teaching and non-teaching staff and students of various Kendriya Vidyalayas running under Dehradun division for their continuous efforts due to which our flag is flying high.
